Softwashing

Softwashing is an alternative to pressure cleaning.

We mainly use it for long-term maintenance, but it can be used for the initial clean on fragile surfaces.

Softwashing, as practised in the US, is damaging to:

  •  the environment and
  • to the plants near the surfaces getting cleaned.

We mitigate the risks of softwashing by using a low-flow technique:

  • minimal release in the stormwater system and
  • no overspray on surrounding vegetation.
